Continuing Education My Eye

I just endured what can only be described as an alternate form of water-boarding, commonly known as continuing education.

Perhaps a tad dramatic, but it certainly felt like torture to everyone in the classroom, including the instructor.

I don’t care how many hours your licensure mandates, the simple fact is that it’s a waste of your time and money, and the board’s time and money in overseeing, documenting, and certifying this ongoing insanity.  It does not serve to protect the consumer, as it is intended, and it most assuredly does not contribute to the betterment of the licensee.  If the demand is there for a particular skill, then the smart licensee will garner that skill quickly.  The stupid ones won’t, but then you can’t fix stupid no matter how many hours you keep him sitting in a classroom.

I submit: Increase the license fee by the median amount of the course fee, eliminate the courses, eliminate the board, and let’s get back to work.

Oh, and what about the teachers?  Let them use their license.

I wonder: If we got enough people to voice the same opinion about this, if somehow, someone would actually listen….. Nah!

Sadly, Bob, as you and I know the government wants us to pay the illegitimate fees associated with this credit education classes but it certainly would not want us to become enlightened. An enlightened society would be a threat to them, the bureaucrats, and the politicians.

Right on Bob! What is worse, I sell businesses and I have to sit through hours of useless RE education. It makes zero sense, but that is the government we elected and elected to not control.
